Do Good to God and to Man

I love this piece from page 56 of Richard Templar’s book “The Rules of Life”:  Every action you take, every decision you make, everything you do causes an immediate effect on those around you –  and on you.  And this is the important bit.  There’s such a thing as instant karma.  It is your bed and you are going to have to lie on it.  Your actions will dictaste whether  in general your life is going to run happily or badly, smoothly or as if the wheels have fallen off.  If you are selfish and manipulative, it will rebound on you .  If you are generally loving and thoughtful, you will get your just rewards – and not in heaven (0r the next life or whatever you believe) but right here, right now.  Trust me.  Whatever you  do and how you do it will come back to you in spades.  This isn’t a threat, merely an observation.  Those wo do good, get good.  Those who do bad get bad.”
From my  personal experiences in life, I have come to agree with Temple's postulation that what you sow is surely what you will reap.  Work hard, you will stand before kings and not before mean men.  Be lazy you will tend to poverty.  Be kind to people, people will be kind to you.  People will always not only remember what you do to them, they will pay you back in your coins. It is a reality of life.  I have tasted it.  It works. I gave love to people in diverse ways: cash and kind, counsel and inspiration plus motivation, they returned love to me in greater measure.  Remarkably, once upon a time, for eight  consecutive years, the ship of my life drifted in the mid-ocean heading towards a wreck! Miraculously, God raised people to rescue me.  These people remembered my good deeds and felt the ship of my life must never sink.  They willingly (without even solicitation) allowed themselves to be used by God (thanks to members of my helpers forum in WhatsApp l)  to rescue me. However, whenever I related my experiences to people on how I have been blessed by people, such people always reminded me thus, “you deserve what you are getting because you’ve done so much for people”  Whereas I honestly thought and believed I hadn’t done enough!  I thank God, in my little way, I did what I knew best to do – good -  (And I have resolved that for the rest of my life I shall engage my total being in doing good for my generation and the generations yet unborn. I am going to leave a legacy of doing good for my descendants from generation to generation.)  I thank God and people for returning my good-for-good. Brethren, let me admonish you with this golden piece from Phil. 4:8-9,  “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do…” There’s a great reward for doing good or bad. I urge you DO GOOD to God and to Man.

Why You Must earn MORE Money.

There is no doubt that majority of the world's population are poor. The most fundamental principle that underlies poverty is the fact that when our needs, I mean, our must-dos (not our desires, not wishes which are resource wasters and which can be curtailed through prudent spending) are more than our income, then the direct result is POVERTY.

Let us cite an example: In Nigeria, a man with a wife and two children must spend at least N60,000 per term (or N180,000 a year) on school fees, must spend average of N300 to feed each family member on daily basis i.e. N439,200 a year and attend to several other needs of life too numerous to list let us say this will be in the region of another N600,000 per annum. Assuming the man's total net spendable income is N700,000 per annum, such a man must borrow N519,200 to maintain his family. This amount is the level of his poverty. If he repeats this over many many years then nobody in his family will enjoy peace. He will hand over his poverty LEGACY to his children frome generation to generation. This is the major cause of poverty.

Until a man earns enough profit (this is attainable) from business or enough spendable income from paid employment (which may not be) he will never get out of poverty. Therefore let everyone budget what he needs to spend and invest everything he has towards making the very amount. This will take a great sacrifice. And that sacrifice is the price to pay to get out of poverty! God bless you.

Be Fruiful

After God created Adam and Eve, He pronounced three blessings upon them the first is "BE FRUITFUL". Gen. 1:26. We shall examine. the remaining 2 in subsequent writings.
Fruitfulness is all about being productive. This covers all facets of our lives. Biologically we are all biological fruits of our parents. We too ought to reproduce off springs. A fruitful career will produce promotions and produce finances that will produce spiritual and material wealth that will in turn produce salvation, excellent and physical health that will produce longevity and fulfilment.

To be fruitful we all must take decisions. The first of such is to recognise our Daddy Who pronounced the blessings upon us. The next is to shape our lives in the direction of fruitfulness by focusing our attention on substances that will produce fruitfulness such as the pursuit of knowledge and imbibe the spirit of hard work. It's therefore for us all to be focused.

God Speaks

According to Deut. 29:29, secret things belongs to God; the ones revealed to us belongs to us and the generations after us.

When the heat of the Ekiti State's election was very high for everybody to feel and the only logical thing sensed by all was possible danger. God spoke to me in a dream that Ekiti State's Election will be very peaceful. There would be no bloodshed whatsoever. When I was troubled that Iyin Ekiti might be a centre stage for violence, God said in the same dream that 2014 will be the best year she had ever witnessed and that IYIN DAY 2014 will be the best ever as there will be declaration of surplosity. How these would happen in the midst of glaring tension was a wonder i had to contend with. BUT I TRUSTED in Him. I shared my vision with key people who must know about it and my mind was at peace.Whenever there were tensions i affirmed the peace that God had spoken to me.
The election has come and gone. God fulfilled His word on peace and no bloodshed. Not only that Ekiti has now become a reference point for everything good democratically. socially and morally. Ekiti has advanced Nigeria. This God deserves our praises.

I Have A Message For You (1)

My experience as a Pastor reveals that most church goers do not grasp the essence of the enormous KEYS to an all-round success being released by pastors through sermons. They only seem to enjoy the anointing services, the proclamations of blessings, the vigils, the laying of hands, the use of objects such as white handkerchiefs, annointing oil, touching the garments of Pastors, etc attendance at anointing services, and so on but fail to accept the fact that God does not perform magic but miracles rooted in prayers, hard work and faith.

My admonition for such people is to understand that if they must succeed, they should embrace prayers, and the 10 Babylon theories (read "THE RICHEST MAM IN BABYLON") of which are: identify and take advantage of all available opportunities, become an entrepreneur, consistently invest the little they have to generate more money, have as many streams of incomes, own a home early in life, plan for their retirement. Prayers without practising these will amount to failure. Please be wise by being "fervent in prayers, not slothful in business". Your sucess is guaranteed.

Always Update Yourself

From engraving on stones to pen and paper. From pen and paper to manual typewriting. From manual typewriter to electronic ones. From electric typewriter to word processing to desktop computer then to laptop then to palmtops to tablets and smartphones. So has the art of writing evolved and developed
A friend of mine joined the race as a typist but failed to graduate to computer. He ended up becoming the Chairman of Okada Association full of regrets for not updating himself in the computer world!
If you fail to update yourself in whatever you do, you will soon be left behind. If you fail to continue to update your investment portfolios, you will soon retire to poverty! If you fail to update yourself spiritually, you will soon become a fake Prophet if only to satisfy your belly. If you tarry too long as a bachelor, you will soon die unmarried and childless. If you fail to continue to update your knowledge, the 'graduate' in you will soon give way to illiteracy.
In, all your ways, I urge you dear reader, ALWAYS update yourself always otherwise you will so soon expire.

God's Business Interest

People hold different views about spending money in the church especially on payment of tithes. It all started when Abraham paid his tithe to Melchizedek, King of Salem (Gen. 14:20) legalized in Mal. 3:8-10. And Jesus affirmed it in Luk 11.41ff.
God is businesslike with tithes. If for any reason you are unable to pay it as and when due, God demands for a 20% interest when eventually you are paying it. That is God for you - businesslike and prudent.
 Therefore be an entrepreneur. Invest part of your income to generate more money. Have many streams of incomes. God bless you.

PRAYER IS IMPORTANT

Prayer is communicating with God - worshipping Him, thanking Him, purging our iniquities to Him to forgive us and making our needs known to Him by way of requests. These communications touch God's loving heart and He acts on them.

Poverty in the Midst of Plenty?

As far as material, financial and spiritual prosperities are concerned, the greatest challenge everyone has is how to multiply the little in our hands.  God's interest in our multiplying what we have is contained in his blessings for man in Gen. 1:28  which says:“Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals.''.  So whether we are salary earners, farmers, or whether we are ordinary lay Christians, all we need do is to 'multiply' whatever status we are. He is God of abundance and He wants us to copy this golden attribute of His.

A seed 'invested' through planting will bring forth abundant harvest.  My wife and I once counted the grains on a pod of maize we harvested from our farm and discovered that a single seed has produced 437 other seeds simply by sowing it. 

A spiritually life well-nurtured will produce spiritual maturity as well as close relationship with God. 
Likewise, a seed of vegetable will produce several thousands of other seeds if allowed to grow to maturity and produce seeds.  That is what God means when He says, 'multiply and be fruitful'. 

A salary earner who earns very low income but invests a little part of it on profitable ventures will soon become a millionaire but he who earns fat salary and eats it all will tend to poverty.

It is therefore important that we all cultivate the spirit of investing to produce abundance of whatever we possess.

GREATER THAN

It's quite a long silence.  Not to worry.  What's important is WE ARE BACK FOR GOOD.  And we thank you for your patronising our blogsite again.  We hope it will benefit you the more.  In the meantime, our target is a daily post but sometimes all we may realise may be just a weekly post until we are fully restored. One common expectation is that a newer generation should be greater than the older, a new car should be greater than the earlier models.  Applying this principle to human development, one of the prayers of most parents is that their children should be greater than them. 

However, a fact remains that no new generation will be greater than the old unless that generation strives hard to do so. Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God always prays for us his children that we shall be greater than him.  And we all say a very loud 'Amen'.  But the reality is that for anyone of us to aspire to be greater than him, we must exceed him in everything:in prayers, in hard work and we must develop a larger vision than his.  We must also surpass him as a mult-skilled personality.  Failure to attain these, will take us, not above but far below, the ever-busy great man.  Yet every day he is setting a new standard!

In relaying this message to my children, I told them, that for them to be greater than me, they must follow the same principle of hard work, risk taking, prayerfulness and their visions must surpass mine.  No doubt they must be as multi-skilled as their father is: a preacher, a teacher a writer, a public speaker, a lover of people and a man who is out to attain excellence both in his spiritual and secular activities!

To let them realise this goal, I have made it a point of duty to expose to them what I had done in the past, what I am doing now and what I intend doing in years to come.  This is to enable them not only to key in but also to develop larger visions than mine.  And everyday, I set new standards too! So they must all understand where I am at any point in time so that they will compare it with their present levels and try to fill the gap.

If you must be greater than the generation before you therefore, you must understudy the generation itself and set higher visions beyond theirs otherwise, you may find yourself only saying 'amen' to best wishes that will never manifest.  God bless you.

Habits:  Dishonesty - It all starts small

Everything starts small.  One step after the other, starting with Light, God created everything on planet earth and in six days too!  Giants are not born giants.  No. They started as babies and grew to become giants. Great men don't start great, they grow to become great!  Even Kings and Queens start first as Princes and Princesses!

So it is with our habits.  It all starts small.  When children are born, they are born empty.  Gradually, starting with their parents they begin to imbibe some habits - good or bad.  As they grow in their neighbourhood, they pick up more from their larger families. As they venture outside their homes, they pick up further habits from the society: e.g. their friends,  and such other organised bodies as worship centres.  

And there are only two habits they can pick up - Good or bad habits!  An armed robber, a rapist, or any criminal for that matter started his or her criminality small.  For instance an armed robber would start with stealing petty things as little cash from their parents, meat in the soup, sweet on the counter, etc.  Gradually, they become experts and they graduate to pocket-picking and other forms of pilfering and the wider their geographical horizon the more opportunities they have to perpetrate their nefarious acts.  A rapist did not just start when he is an adult.  He started when he was playing in the sands with his age mates - at a very tender age.  And his lustful eyes continue to see his victims here and there.  When he grows up, he becomes bolder and sometimes has to induce himself to be so he could accomplish his goals. 

That is why the roles of parents in quickly exposing and correcting all bad traits discovered in their children are very crucial in parenting.  When your child is given a gift and he or she does not let you know, he is on the path to dishonesty and may end up an armed robber, a fraudstar or name it.  When your child hides his or her results from you he has started his acts of dishonesty.  When your boy-children begin to run after girls at their tender ages, then you may be breeding future rapists.  When your girl-children begin so early in life to ask you for indecent dresses or forms the habits shamelessly being half-naked or worse still understands all forms of lips painting, tattoos, so early in life,  you may be breeding future prostitutes.  Children, male or female who prefer to read or watch romantic books/films are heading towards stupidity, prostitution, child abusing and eventual failure in life.  When your child leaves home for school and never gets there but gets back home at the right time he ought to after school, you may be breeding future cultists.  The list is unending. 

What then do we do?  The best thing to do to discourage any bad habit is to nip it in the bud right from the very day it is noticed and pursue it until its traces can no longer be noticed.   Secondly, the very opposite of the bad habit should become a training topic for whoever is affected. The victim should be taken through on all the trainings, counselling, praying, rebuking, etc necessary to free him from the bad habit.

Unless we want to lie, all of us have picked up one bad habit or the other at one point in our lives.  But they were promptly corrected before we went too far.  Therefore correct your children when they have not gone too far. Good morning.

Accusations

Some leaders hate the Press like plague.  Majority of them also hate the mere mention of any arm of the Law Enforcement Authorities.  Some fear talking about their private lives.  Some can never write their auto-biographies for people to read.   Why all these?

Some leaders fear the press not because they have any skeleton in their cupboards but because they are shy.  They don't want to have anything to do with anyone - the press for that matter - who are never tired of asking questions.  

Another category fear the press in particular because by the time many questions are asked about them in their private or official capacities, they may be implicated.  And this might lead to further investigations that could bring them to the jaws of Law Enforcement Authorities.

One thing that many people fail to admit is that there's hardly anything like a private life in the real sense of it so long as we live as social beings and we all interact.  Yet our interaction will bring to fore who we are - our character traits. Our character traits may bring us favour or disfavour, fame or disgrace.  An American popular ex-President who was involved in extra-marital relationship in his private capacity lost his right to privacy when he held a public office.   But for the fact that American society which expects so much from its leaders magnanimously forgave her President because he was considered a good leader, he would have been disgraced out of office. 

The situation is even worse in our official capacities where we have as many admirers as we have those who for several reasons (envy, greed, failure to tolerate certain moral bankruptcies, sheer hatredness etc) hate to see eye-to-eye with us.  It all the more bad for those who hold sensitive positions that involve being entrusted with their organisations' finances.   If you manage direct cash or the purse of your organisation, only few people will believe that you may not be fraudulent after all.  Majority will call you an outright thief, though they have nothing to substantiate it.  The fact that you seem to be living well may even seem to support that view because they will not come to you to ask how you come about living well.  As far as they are concerned, you must be stealing the company's money to live well.  This is not to say that the temptations are not there for an average person to become corrupt but I still believe that though they are in the very minority, there are still people who have the grace and good conscience not to abuse the position of authority entrusted to them.

But the fear of being wrongly accused of fraud is keeping some otherwise honest persons away from venturing into positions of authority be it political or economic.  They don't want to soil their names.  So they remain at the background in everything they do! For this reason, their people are losing the benefits they ought to gain.

Don't know how much you dread being accused.  But it should never be a basis for you not to do what you ought to do to benefit humanity.  What is important is that your personal character matters. And people will talk about it even long after you are dead.  What the writer believes is that nobody should be afraid of being accused.  But everybody so accused must be prepared to defend themselves.  It is when their allegations is proved to be true that you are disgraced!  Not defending yourself may be construed to mean concurrence. We know of many past leaders today who ignore such defence. It is either because they are guilty as alleged or ...  As far as accusations are concerned, 'silence may not be golden'.  So when you are accused, be prepared to defend yourself.  For you to do so successfully, please live right.  When you make mistakes, people will recognise it as a mistake or carelessness.  But when you are out-rightly fraudulent, it is equally glaring.  Even when you are guilty, what people generally hate is to be non-challant about it. If you show remorse, people are ready to forgive you but don't keep them in suspense for too long before showing soberness.  This principle is universal to everywhere we find ourselves: at home, in the worship centres, at work, etc.

and Wealth Education

Formal education is very important.  Informal education is very vital.  Formal education is the type of tutoring we receive in many places e.g. from Nursery to Tertiary Institutions.  In this type of education, certificates, degrees, diplomas etc are issued to evidence participation after one must have passed the prescribed examinations.  

Informal education include short term courses, seminars, professional bodies organised mandatory continuous education programmes, self-study programmes, home trainings offered to children by parents, discussions held generally from people etc.   

Of these two major educational segments, wealth education, at least for now, falls under informal education.

One thing that needs to understood is that both education systems offer 'knowledge' which is very important to success in anything we undertake one of which is financial success.  It is only now that we are beginning to realise that formal education does not necessarily lead to financial success.  Except for those who read professional courses such as architecture, law, medicine, pharmacy, etc which lend themselves to instant practice thereby unconsciously bringing out the enterprising nature of their practitioners, almost all other courses will only render their patrons to 'slave labour'.  

No matter how fat salaries may be, they are only good to start life with, but never something to depend upon for wealth creation.  You may cultivate a good savings habit, but surely increasing expenses will not permit you to save more than a certain proportion of your income. Unfortunately, wherever you invest such savings, it is subject to inflationary movement - upwards or downwards which render its returns unreliable.  The only sector I know for now renders good returns is something like the real estate because of its tendency to appreciate over time.  But land is not what you can hurriedly dispose whenever you need cash so your expectation at maximising profit might still be affected but it is a reliable safely invest PART OF your income that you will not be needing under emergency.

Salary earners who do not create alternative sources of creating wealth through such incomes, can never be truly rich in the real sense of the word.  Unfortunately formal trainings don't teach wealth creation procedures. Another unfortunate thing is the wrong orientation we all earlier in life have about formal education as an end in itself instead of a means to an end.  An average person wants to be educated so he can gain good employment and work till retirement, then survive on pension.  It worked for many but failed for majority of people thereby leading them to end-time poverty in their old age!   It is even worse now that employment opportunities are fast dwindling now in the labour market!

Biological or Adopted Children: What's the Difference?

The world has many ways  of distinguishing situations and things!  They have a way of discriminating among themselves, their children, and so on.  

We are taking a look at the difference between a biological child and an adopted one.  A biological child is a child that is given birth to directly by parents while adopted child is a child not given birth to directly by parents who take charge of their upkeep.  This singular difference between these two children which is the fact that one is a 'direct' while the other is 'indirect' has given rise to how each child is treated.   There's a high emotional attachment to 'direct' children such that there's no limit to the quantum of his inheritance in terms of love, affection,care, provision, etc.  But when it is the turn of the 'indirect' children, some parents are very conscious to determine the limit of their benefits. The most interesting aspect of this discriminatory treatment is the fact that even when a foster parent tries to bridge the gap, he or she will be reminded to discriminate!  Many of these people engineering discriminatory treatments are supposedly men and women of God!

Now let's face the reality test.  All Christians are 'adopted' children.  Jesus Christ himself was adopted by Joseph because he did not father him biologically!  All of us are therefore children of God by adoption and joint hiers with Christ.  All of us expect that once we belong to Christ, we should be treated equally by God the Father as he would treat Christ i.e. our inheritance should be the same. But here on earth, we discriminate on the basis of biology!  when it is our turn, God should not bother about 'biology' but when it is 'their' turn, we discriminate against those who have no 'biological' relationship with us.  These are the  contradictions about our lives. 

If I say let's treat everybody equally, I know I will be generating a controversy for not even a Christian who has been taught extensively about how to demonstrate love to their neighbours as themselves or even to their enemies will agree with me whereas doing less than that is living below God's standard.  It will even sound strange before extended family members to apportion an equal treatment to a person considered a total stranger to the family's inheritance.  Yet this development is a food for thought for all who are interested in advancing course of love. It is not impossible to treat your adopted children like your biological ones if you care to do so.  However, even if you still,  struggle with the mere thought of its possibility, and you still wonder as to how you can will so 'heavy' inheritance to your adopted children why not demonstrate extra love by    giving them good clothing, food, education, and things that will make them feel truly loved?

Who are your 'adopted' children? The children you legally adopted from orphanage homes following strict legal rules or just adopted because you have sympathy for them.   Your salaried house helps.  The younger members of your extended family whom you have brought under your roof.  Good morning.

Money or Idea?

 Money or Idea?

No doubt whatever we want to do or become in life money is a major factor that readily comes to mind.  Even the Bible rightly recognises money as answer to all issues.  

In this write-up we are looking at the role of money in attaining any goal.  To set up a business for instance, there has been this argument as to which comes first - money or idea?   And whenever money is given priority, many ideas have rested in the bellies of those who have them because once the do a mental budget of how it much it will cost them to actualise their ideas and they discover that they cannot afford such monies.  

On the other hand, some people have argued that an idea - a 'bankable one for that matter' is more to be preferred because it is argued that whenever an idea is bright enough there will always be somebody somewhere who will be willing to sponsor or support it to execution.  

Either way, there are uncertainties.  Many bankable ideas die because nobody would come up financially  to make them come to light.  It is equally true that many ideas die before they were born simply because the owner cannot fathom where the money will come from to execute them so they don't waste time exploring it to the point of being 'bankable'.

What is the way forward?  If you have an idea, follow it through to a 'bankable' point.  Document it and continue to explore for whoever will be willing to fund it.  Make thorough research as to who can support it. But most often all such efforts will still not yield desired result.  When this happens, what to do is to turn yourself to the sponsor of your own idea by coming up with a lesser idea that will generate the required income for you to sponsor the bigger idea.  

This is the story of Tomimia who developed Topsy Tail as a business venture.  She needed N5,000 to patent her product but could not raise it.  An idea occurred to her to write a book but she had difficulty choosing a topic that would be best-selling.  Finally she remembered she once kissed a young guy who once dated her and that the guy complimented her so well such that she wondered what was so special about kissing.   She finally decided to write a book on the 'funny' subject of 'kissing' and submitted it to a publishing house which not only accepted her manuscript but paid her $7,500 advance ever before it was published. And when published the book became an instant best-seller!  With the $7,500 she paid $5000 to patent her pet project. The project later became so successful that she retired early from her paid employment with IBM to attend to it full time.(Story on pp 95-102 of "Start Small and Finish Big" by Fred DeLuca)"

The bottom line is that if you have an idea and you don't have the money to execute it, while you are looking for people who will support it, develop a lesser idea that will generate the funds.  Either way, one will click.  Good morning.

Should  a couple hold joint account?  

Surely there's nothing wrong with it as the two persons ought to have 'melted' to become one.  And it should be what should be aimed at as our marital relationships grow older and older.   

However, at the initial stage of relationship, I will always caution against it.  The reason is simple.  Everyone wants to maintain a level of flexibility and control over their earnings and would want to do certain things without a 'board resolution'.  Joint Account removes this flexibility and makes everything so legalistic that it becomes a problem instead of a solution.

Secondly, even though couples are one, it is not all the time that one person agrees with the spending nature of  the other.  Spendings on extended members of the family always pose challenges to couples as one person may favour while the other disfavours the quantum of money that goes to that segment of the larger family.  Where there's disagreement, it breads misunderstanding such that the couple's relationship may be in trouble.

The greatest challenge is that it is easier to enter into the bond of Joint Account but very difficult to opt out in case one party does not like it again.  It brings about family disintegration. 

What is to be done?  Don't enter into Joint Account relationship without a full (democratic) understanding that either party can terminate the relationship at any point in time if he or she discovers it is not workable.  Let this be thoroughly understood form Day 1 and do not hesitate to apply the rule when the need arises.  Flexibility is the sole of a successful management of Joint Account relationship.   It should be sufficient for one party to call the other and say "let's separate accounts' without creating a bad blood.  How many people is matured to accept this request on a platter of gold?  My recommendation is that couples should not rush to operate joint account.  

How do you manage your own life in this direction?  Nothing to hide for I should be preaching what I practice.  This is the way we manage ours.  My wife and I are on the latter part of our 3rd decade in a successful relationship.  We thank God for the grace. It was only last year that I decided voluntarily to make my spouse signatory to all my accounts. I know her enough now.  Even if anything happens to me and she takes over all I have, she deserves it and I have nothing to lose whereas I am joyful I am married not to an angel but to someone who has good conscience!  Not only that, I know her spending nature such that I know I am safe in her hands.    Also it makes life easy for my entire family should anything happens - all she needs do is to carry on as if nothing has happened.   This of course will make life easy for her and our children.  

To further expand this, at a stage, I am seriously contemplating introducing all my children that have attained the age of 21 and above as co-signatories to my account.  I've no fear doing this because they've been brought up not to be greedy for gain.  Also, it will be done such that no one person can singularly operate the account without the knowledge of the other.  This way I am envisaging that life should be smooth even if both mum and dad, for one reason or the other cannot operate my accounts.  By the time we are old and gone, our children should be able to smoothly manage our estate without let.

So talking about Joint Account, it is good but it should be handled with care and full understanding of its benefits and implications which all who adopt it must be privy to.  Good morning.

There's Hope for Nigeria

God loves Nigeria! And God willing, Nigeria will survive and emerge as a world leader one day.  And it will not be too long to happen. God willing, it will be during my lifetime.  Indeed, I will be a partaker in the benefits to follow.  


I am happy that Nigerians are now beginning to talk about issues, real and tenable issues.  Up to 5 years ago, many people got so frustrated that they felt that the injustice in Nigeria would only be addressed if through disintegration.  I am happy today that paradigm has shifted because we seem to be understanding better.  Our three tiers of Government are now respecting one another's constitutional responsibilities and at the same time are partnering together instead of working against one another.  

The good man, Late ex-President Umar Yar Adua set the ball rolling by giving us correct interpretation of what 'the rule of law' means in his actions throughout his stay in power.  Amiable President Jonathan Goodluck is an enlightened mind and is steering the course of the nation in the right direction. 






 What has bothered my mind most was the dehuminising level Niger Delta issue got to.  Some corrupt leaders were talking about Resource Control when they were busy looting the little that came to the Niger Delta region - thank God they have now been exposed and silenced.  I first stepped my feet on the soil of Niger Delta sometime in 1989 or so, Warri to be precise.  My first reaction was that of grave disappointment because I could not see any sign of development in that popular city.  I asked myself questions prominent amongst which was what if oil dries up today, won't Warri be worse than it was before oil exploration began years back?

But today, I am happy to see noticeable progress of development.  But the greatest recovery is yet to be experienced.  With the Federal Government now focusing on 'wholistic' development, let me hope that Niger Delta as a whole will soon become an enviable part of Nigeria. Justice is right here.  Nobody would have thought that Niger Delta could produce a Vice President that could metamorphosed into Presidency.  So in a miraculous way, God ensured that, without fighting, the so-called minority has access to power without the three major tribes feeling any opposition.   I pray it will be the turn of our Igbo brother who currently feels marginalised as far as Presidency is concerned to produce Nigeria's President one day.  It will happen also during my lifetime. Amen.  And there will be no need for 'Biafrian' or whatever seccessionist organisation. 

Above all, I have faith in Nigeria.  I invite you to join your own faith with mine, that Nigeria SHALL be better and we shall be all the better for it.
