The Power of Knowledge
Do The Right
“I’ve discovered that
When you know the right things,
The boundaries around your life
Suddenly disappear.”
Brian Sher in his book “What Rich People Know
and Desperately Want to Keep Secret p. ii(2000 ed.)

Is Polygamy Good?
Is Polygamy Good?
In the last two pages of my book
“A Gallery of Positive Thoughts (1st Edition),
I stated that polygamy itself
Is not necessarily the bane
Of our polygamous homes
Rather, it is lack of love ,
And I used my home
Where peace and love reigns,
To support my claim
There have been genuine reactions
From some readers of the book.
Seeking clarification
As to whether I was
An apostle of polygamy
In the modern day setting
My answer is “No”.
That is far from my intention
What I am and was saying
Is that those of us
Who inherited polygamy
Or those who inevitably
Found themselves in it
Should ensure
That they do not
Because of the circumstance
In which they found themselves
Distract themselves
From pursing the positive pursuits of life
Or even kill themselves
Polygamy is a destiny buster
Which no sensible person
Will allow to destroy his or her life.
The way out is to manage it with love,
Thereby avoiding
Or escaping the calamities
That are associated with it.
(Excluding those who unavoidably
Found themselves in it),
Polygamy in today’s world
Amounts to stupidity
Today’s value system emphasizes it.
Good fathers now only produce
The number of children
They can cater for
The kitchen is no longer
A woman’s full occupation
And from the menial jobs
To highly paid ones
No reasonable child
Is interested in inheriting bare lands
Because ‘trouble’
Is often the greatest asset polygamy breeds
That’s why, imperatively,
Modern-day women
dread polygamy
It’s the desire
Of a reasonable modern day
average family
To lift itself
Far above the poverty level
A man’s income alone
Is now insufficient
For his household needs
Therefore anyone
who dabbles into polygamy
Is not only living in the past,
courting disaster!
He is the greatest enemy
Of himself!

Positive Flashes: Get Connected
Missed Connections?
‘‘Much of human misery and disease derives from self-centeredness, or the inability to transcend the confining limits of the ego world. Depression, anger, loneliness and other immune-suppressing emotions are rooted in self-centeredness. To reduce any self-centeredness that you may have in your life, try making the following connections. Each will help you get closer to achieving optimum health.
“Connect with nature and earth. Slow down and observe and appreciate nature through walks, gardening, picnics or outdoor activities.
“Connect with animals. People with pets tend to be healthier, both mentally and physically. The responsibility of owning a pet can put your priorities in focus. Plus, animals provide unconditional love, which is always rewarding.
“Connect with family. Instead of thinking of family as immediate and extended, try to consider your family as just that: family. Near or far, family is what keeps us real.
“Connect with community. Interacting with those around you, and the area in which you reside, is a good way to create a sense of strength and comfort for yourself and others. “Connect with (I recommend JESUS Christ to you!) a higher power....” - Annonymous

Turn Your Weakness to Strength and Wealth!
My wife, Mary, is such a very shy person who would never like to place herself in public view. When cornered, and it becomes becomes necessary for her to speak, she speaks but her words are very few. I've been encouraging her to be outspoken because I know she's a bundle of talent. But she would ask me: "what's there to say?" I always responded: there are a lot to say and your contribution is necessary to the emancipation of your generation.
This argument went on for long. Finally she came out of her shelf and started teaching in our Sunday School. Initially she was 'bumpy' but gradually she picked up and became smooth sailing! She became more are more outspoken by the day and to my surprise highly articulate, convincing, straight to the point that everyone admired her. Inwardly, I rejoiced. I am experimenting with her on other areas. My objective is to turn her weakness to strength and thereafter I know God will surely add wealth to it for her.
If I can achieve this in my life time which I believe is possible, then I will die a happy man.
I did say I am hopeful I can achieve it. Yes. I mean it. I am drawing inspiration from Zaynab Alkali, the now celebrated author of "The Still Born". Quiet, easy going, cool, beautiful ... eh heeeh!!! Uumh!! Hear her how she became a celebrity
"...I started creative writing in 1980. But naturally, I was a very quiet person and I discovered that writing is another formidable way of communicating to people. So, I started putting thoughts on paper in 1980 when I was in the university. I never had the intention of getting published. I was only trying to express myself on paper since I am not so eloquent when it comes to talking. Now, it was by sheer accident that The Stillborn came to limelight, because at Bayero University, Kano, we had a gentleman who is now a professor, Steward Brown. ... Zaynab Alkali, in "The Sun" 14th January, 2009.

The Haiti Disaster, Be part of the Relief
The current Haiti disaster must be of great concern to us all. It can happen everywhere and anybody can be a victim. That we don't experience such in Nigeria does not mean that we are holier than these aggrieved people are. What's more disasters don't discriminate against religion, sex, race, colour, creed, and all that people who are in peace make important when they want to forment trouble.
So, Haiti's case is a case for all and we can all be part of it. Nothing is too small and the world is a global village.
How do you help? Bill Clinton has made this easy. You can contribute directly to Haiti victims through his foundation. I've just given my own widow's mite a moment ago through them. I urge you to do so too by visiting https://re.clintonfoundation.org/SSLPage.aspx?pid=3869
God will reward you and by His grace no disaster of any nature will come near you.
Let's demonstrate LOVE beyond our borders!
NB If you wish to give but cannot process payment directly through Bill Clinton Foundation, you can pay in naira and we can assist in tranfering it to Bill's Foundation IN YOUR NAME. . To indicate interest, please send "HAITI" to : treasuredynamics@gmail.com. or SMS "HAITI" to +2348034465225.
We can process it on your behalf and provide evidence for its transaction. ANY AMOUNT WILL DO BUT BILL'S MINIMUM AMOUNT IS $25. Convert that to naira. Lower amount can be sent however by pooling with other people's funds.

Positive Flashes: Should Marriage Be Timed?
Should Marriage
Be Timed?
Some people have opined
Marriage need not be timed
I disagree because it’s misleading
Everything in life has its time
Failure to recognise this and plan
Will lead to old age discomfiture
Our youthful retirement should be fun
If we marry too early we will lose the joy of our youth
If we marry too late,
We might lose the joy of our old age
Retirement should be fun
Without pressing responsibilities,
But late marriage will create problems for us at old age!
To emphasize this probability
Let us use the model below with the following standard assumptions
· We are in Nigeria
· The current Retirement age in is 60 years
· There are five fathers
· They got married variously at 25,30,33,35 and 37 respectively.
· All five fathers began rearing children a year later
· Each father produces not more than four children
· They train their children only up to the 1st Degree
· The children complete their education on schedule
· Youth service isn’t part of their father’s care-period
· Whether the five fathers
· are employees or employers,
· are employees or employers,
· their target is to retire at 60 years.
· Each of them married only one wife
· All are responsible father who want to enjoy their retirements.
All things being equal, the bold, blue figure against each name below represents the age at which each father will produce a graduate!
Marriage Model
Age of Father At Marriage | Ages the fathers gave birth to the four children | Age Child of father 1 when child 1 leaves Primary, |Secondary, Tertiary institutions, | Age of father when Child 2 leaves Primary,Secondary & Tertiary Institututions | Age of father when Child 3 Leaves primary, secondary and Tertiary institutution. | Age of father when Child 4 leaves primary, secondary and Tertiary institututions |

Positive Flashes: Creating Wealth
Creating Wealth
Asking people to save
For the rainy day
Is not a strange advice
To anybody
But the majority of us
Lack any ideas
Of where to keep such money
To yield an expected bountiful return
Some people have tried the banks
Which have resulted in failures.
Some tried other means
With the same fate
But in the advanced countries
They have since understood the secret
Of where to grow their savings
They have decided to release the secrets
Robert G. Allen, in his book
“Multiple streams of Income”
, has this to say:“...change your attitude about money”
“Day in, day out,
Save, Invest, Save,
Invest. It might be boring,
It might be dull,
It might be hard to do.
No matter what it takes,
Just do it”
In the various inspirational books
In the market today
The truth is that we have been tardy
At unraveling the hidden treasures
Deposited in such golden books
Anyone who is not promoting such knowledge
Would continue to live in the past
Are you among such people?
Repent of your sins against yourself
Begin today to read the books
They are too numerous to list herein
Start with the Holy Bible
King David’s (psalms)
King Solomon’s (Ecclesiastes, Proverbs),
All these great men of God
Have something to tell you
About wealth creation
Deuteronomy 29:29 says :
“Hidden things belong unto the Lord
but those revealed belong unto us”
This is a treasure
No book has ever revealed to man
Proceed to “The Richest Man in Babylon ”
Written by Classons
Read George Allen’s
“Multiple Streams of Income”
Nearer home,
Read Yemi Omogboyega’s
“Family Budgeting – A Must For Your Home”
Then open your eyes wide
Because millions
Of other equally inspiring books
Are vended in the traffic jam,
They are in the bookshops
They are all over the place
Buy them and read them up
Your life will surely
Be transformed
For the better.
All these sources
Are releasing the secrets
Which those who made it before us
Had shielded
From us all in the past!

The Meaning of “Help”
The Meaning of “Help”
To some people,
The word “help” means
“Take on, ALL my burdens off me”
That’s wrong notion
Stretched too far
Rather, the local expression
Only connotes an assistance
Or aid
To somebody
To achieve a set goal.
‘Help’ is particular and pragmatic,
It doesn’t mean total dependence
On the helper
For the helper
Do have his own problems too
‘Help’ is a booster
To specific, genuine effort
To better some life
To become independent.
The gesture should be seen
As a soothing balm
To the strains
In the path to progress.

Created Rugged!
Created Rugged!
Nigerians are a unique people
Created rugged and resilient
Able to adapt to any condition
Whatever the vagaries in cost of living
They absorb the pains gamely
Taking everything in their strides
Their life is lived lackadaisically
With fans, air conditioners, switched on
While the windows are carelessly opened
Whether there’s electric power or not.
Nigerians will always survive!
