Broken and Contemplating Ending Everything?

Are you overwhelmed?  Whatever the cause, that should not be allowed to determine whether you will live or not.  You don't know how precious you are to God as a living soul!    God is not interested in your death.  He has paid that price on the cross of calvary as explained in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son for whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".  This is the point at which God Almighty demonstrated the peak of His love for us all.  It caused God pains to redeem us.  Therefore when He sees you passing through a painful period, He is not happy because he is not interested in your 'rushing' back to Him.  Rather he wants you to live your life to the fullest, fulfilled and happy.  That is what glorifies Him and that is what delights Him for only a living soul can praise the Lord moreso that He is not a God of the dead.

Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy.  First he will still your joy either by exposing you to anything disgraceful. That is where you find a Pastor divorcing his wife, committing adultery, stealing church funds, engaginging homo-sexuality, etc. After doing that he would haves succeeded in killing him spiritually first.  Then he will continue to misbehave until he is killed physically by either committing suicide or even committing murder so that there will be more than one deaths.  After doing these, then when the Pastor is out of existence, then all his good works and the glory of God that had radiated around him are completely destroyed!

No situation in this world is so bad as to cause you to ever give thought to killing yourself!  If you do, it means you do are far from God whereas God is nearer to you than anyone else.  Are you a murderer, an adulterer, a prostitute, or are you born out of wedlock and is causing you shame?  Have you embezzled your organisation's money and are being chased about by EFCC, ICPC, etc.  Are you bankrupt?  Or you owe people here and there such that you can no longer walk tall in the streets in broad day light?   Are you a born-again student yet you are failing your examinations and is causing you shame?  Are you faithful to your husband and he is repaying you with beatings?  Is your wife causing you shame?  Is your husband a disgrace? Is your child so bad that you wish he is dead to cover your shame?   Have you had sexual relationship with more than one man, got pregnated and the two men denied paternity and is causing you shame?  Have you snatched your supposed friend's husband or wife and the shame is torturing you?  Is your case outside all these situations but all the same, more shameful?

I bet you, yes it may weary and break you down psychologically, yet  none of them is enough to terminate your life because Jesus has taken away all these sorrows.  And that is the essence of Easter in our lives.

Today, if only you will take a bold step, go to any Bible believing Church, confess your sins to JESUS (not to the Pastor!), accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, you will be completely out of the bondage. All the
evil contemplation of 'ending everything' about your life will fizzle out and you will become a new person and your life will blossom again.

Good morning.

The Plight of A Genuine Farmer (The Yemi Omogboyega's Experiment Part 3)

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Animal Husbandry
Below is a typical advert copied from off-takers and anchor for poultry (chicken) business:

“If you are interested in Poultry, have capacity to build pen(s) for minimum of 2k-5k birds.  We are collating a liste of interested members for outgrowersschem where you will be given the DOC (Day Old Chicks), Feeds, every input and to handle the Vet activities.  Cheaper land is available for members at (Ogun State) an area with good road & electricity.   The off-taker will give all the inputs, they will only use your facilities for 14-16 week weeks and pay you N125-135/bird.

If a farmer wants to depend upon chicken rearing alone to generate N2.2m profit annually, he needs to have

a pen standard pen that can accommodate at least, 8,800 birds at a time (to be run twice a year). That fully-equipped pen will cost him roughly N15m.
It is taken for granted that the anchor/off-taker will fund the day-to-day maintenance of the 8,800 birds.  All he needs to provide to qualify for the sponsorship is the standard pen that will cost him about N15m otherwise, he will not be qualified for the gesture.
Each bird will give you N125 return (profit)  i.e. 8800x125 = 1,100,000
You will do it 2ce a year i.e. 16 weeksx7days=112x2=224days less 30 days=136 for turnaround maintenance. = 2,200,000.

All these unfavourable scenarios still bordered upon the fact that commercial farming is very expensive.  Now, let’s consider the markets for the farmer’s products.

The Market

From my over 10-years practical experience in the field of farming, what is still largely in vogue, in spite of the various so-called interventions by Government and private initiatives, (Anchor programmes etc) is that farmers still operate in an unfavourable market system.  The normal business principle whereby the businessman determines his product’s price  by costing his input and adding a fair profit margin is inapplicable to farmers.    Rather, the ‘reverse-order’ of pricing is used to determine what the farmer earns after all his labours.  Unfortunately this situation is further aggravated by the fact that there’s no preservation facilities to prevent the farmers products from wasting away so he has to sell at any price offered him in order not to lose completely.   This is majorly responsible for the present unprofitability of small-scale commercial farming as a venture that I currently practise.

My practical approach to Farming as a business

In order to practise a profitable commercial farming that will provide ample employment opportunity for the unemployed and benefit me as a farmer, I intend to

Increase my crop farming
Maintain my Economic tree Farms
Increase my poultry business from the modest 240 birds to 1,000 birds
Mechanise my Garri Processing Unit
Establish the small scale Palm-oil Processing to process palm oil from my farms and the  processing commercially for other farmers within the next few years.

The major advantages associated with these projects is that they are Integrated projects:  For instance
with the Establishment of Garri Processing Unit,
we are our own off-taker for our Cassava Tubers.
The establishment of Poultry automatically
makes us our own off-takers for our Maize production.
With the establishment of Palm-oil Processing Centre, we are our own
off-taker for our palmfruits.  In other words, we have ready-made market that will purchase our farm produces at profit.  These businesses are all sustainable in the sense that
There is technical expertise in their day-to-day management
There will be steady supply of raw materials
There are ready demands for the final products (Garri, birds and palm-oil).
There’s good succession plan.
As for School business, so long as children come to the world and our schools deliver on promise, there will always be pupils and students intake and our schools will primary off-takers for our farm products such as chickens, eggs, palm oil, garri etc.

There’s no doubt that to achieve these objectives, I need to interact with people of like minds to in particular ways.  This can be Cooperative Societies whereby we can collaborate to source for some farming inputs like tractors, aggro-allied chemicals and even finance.

THE PLIGHT OF GENUINE FARMERS (Yemi Omogboyega's Experiment (Part 2D)

My Most Cherished Goals in Life
My overall vision is, using everything God has given me, to be abundantly blessed, and in turn, to be a blessing to people from all walks of life and to reign with Christ in eternity.
For this reason, I have devoted my life entire life to doing things that will enable me to achieve these set goals.  And I am already practising some of these things according to my capacity.    I am convinced that the outcome of my efforts will benefit humanity immensely in terms of giving vision to the visionless, creating wide employment opportunities for the unemployed, particularly in area of self-employment that will lead to financial breakthrough.
Nobody achieves his goals all alone.  Everyone must associate with people of like minds to do so.  I have chosen farming as my main profession. I practise the rest of my callings – professional or natural – as passive ventures.
The high points of farming are
it is a profitable venture if well practised
it holds the master-key to human survival

However, its low points are:
it is highly capital intensive
no cash for farmers to finance their farm
it requires technical expertise
it is not encouraged
farmers are looked down upon
Unfavourable and arbitrary market pricing.
the government pays lip service to promoting agriculture
no adequate supply of inputs

unfavourable pricing of available ones.
no steady labour
no tractorable land
no adequate tractors

The way out – FARMERS OF LIKE MINDS SHOULD JOIN HANDS TO PROMOTE THEMSELVES.

My Practical Farming Experiences

Without life, there is no nation.  Hence the slogans such as “No Farmer, No Nation”, “Agbel’Oba” (The Farmer is King).

Agriculture, is no doubt, the main and the most sustainable profession in Nigeria.  It will remain the largest employer of labour. Without agriculture, there will be no food.  Without food there will be no life.

Another important point to note, is that, all things being equal and contrary to the wrong impressions people have about farming as an unprofitable commercial  venture, from my 10+ years full-time practical experience in the field, I believe that with good agricultural practices in place, farming is a profitable commercial business.

There are numerous branches of agriculture as there are plants and animals.  So, from these limitless agriculture options, I have chosen to concentrate on the following for COMMERCIAL purposes and practice selected few others for family sustenance:
Cropping: Cassava/Maize inter-cropping.
Economic Trees: Palm tree.  (for sustainable old-age steady income),
Animal Husbandry: Poultry and catfish rearing.
Production:  Garri Processing and palm oil.

Why not specialize in one or two?
In farming, there are three things I considered when I was going into commercial farming business.
Sustainable business
Sustainable employment
Sustainable income

I retired from paid employment at age 51 in year 2008.  I have devoted greater part of my time to the research into the theories and practice of a sustainable commercial agriculture. I have attended several trainings covering the three major branches of agriculture: cropping, economic trees and animal husbandry.  I have selected specific items from the three areas (i.e. Cropping:  Cassava/Maize; Economic Trees: Palm Tree and Animal Husbandry:  poultry).  For approximately 10 years back I have been doing businesses in those three areas thereby gaining practical experience and deep insight into how to successfully manage them at a commercial level.  My major discoveries are:

Commercial Farming business, like any other business venture, requires technical skills to manage it well.  In this area, I have garnered adequate technical know-how through trainings and I continue to attend more of such.
Commercial Farming business requires huge capital base because for a farmer to truly go commercial, he/she must be able to cultivate a large farmland (mechanised) or raise huge number of animals.  The farmer must also have the right market that will absorb his/her produce/animals at the right price that will give him/her the expected profit margin that will sustain him/her and his her family.   In Ekiti State for instance, the recommended minimum crop/economic tree farming for a commercial farmer is 5 hectares of land.  However, from my practical experience in the field of commercial farming, the expected profit from a 5 ha. of farm land cannot sustain a man with a wife and 2 children in Secondary School for one calendar year.   Such a family needs an average of N2.2m. (N18,333 per month).  This excludes the cost of transportation to work and so on.  So a commercial farmer make at an average of  N18,333 profit monthly to be able to make generate N2.2m per annum for family maintenance.   Therefore, to generate a minimum of N2.2m profit for a famer to maintain his family in a year, such a farmer should determine the specific number of hectares of land to cultivate or animals to raise or the combination of both that will fetch him or her that amount in profit terms. It costs an average of N530k to cultivate both maize and cassava.    Likewise to venture into animal husbandry, if poultry, build a sizeable pen that can accommodate a sizeable number of birds and be able to fund the management of the such number of birds (say 17600) birds in one calendar year involves a huge financial capital input.  More details are provided below.  All these require a huge financial capital outlay.

Therefore, from practical experience, I discovered that farming is a very expensive but profitable venture if well managed.  (No wonder the business is unattractive to both the old and the young generation).  Let me cite and example:

I am into cropping (cassava/maize) as an integrated business.  I am into Economic Trees (palm-trees) and thirdly I am into animal husbandry.  I have done practical experimentation in these three areas.  Therefore I can say that  I am very conversant with happenings in the industry – what can make them profitable or unprofitable.  The full details of the financial implications of this are contained in the main book on this subject. But let me deal quickly with the summary:

Inter-cropping Cassava with Maize)

In the first place even though one can profitably plant the two commodities individually, it makes more commercial sense to combine the two for greater profitability.  The main reason is that it is only a very marginal difference between the cost of planting maize alone and intercropping it with cassava.  For instance maize (special high-yielding breed) farming willing cost an average of N250,000 from land preparation to harvesting with an expected average profit of N120,000/ha within 4 months.  (Note that that money will not be generated precisely at 4 months.  The farmer has to wait for the appropriate timing for the prices to peak before selling his dry maize otherwise he might never realise the projected amount.  The appropriate timing might be three to seven months after he has harvested so he needs to preserve his produce with additional costs).  If this is the only crop planted, the result ends there.  Whereas if intercropped with cassava, the farmer, latching initial costs (N250k) only needs to add about N170,000 (i.e. 470k)  to earn additional N185,000 profits bringing his total profit to N120000(maize)+185,000 (cassava) =N305,000/ha on the same land used for maize.  This amounts approximately 72% on a worst-case scenario whereas it could be much higher if the farmer applies all necessary inputs, particularly,  fertiliser and the weather condition is favourable throughout the planting season..  For specialist cassava/maize farmer therefore to generate a minimum of N2.2m profit annually, he needs to cultivate at least (=N2.2m:N305k), he will need to cultivate at least 7.2 hectares of land which will cost him (N530.5k x 7.2ha) = N3.8m.

Two points to note from the above brief analysis are:
 Farming is expensive
Farming is profitable (if properly managed)

IF IT HAD HAPPENED BUT THANK GOD IT DID NOT

Today’s Energiser
Genre:  Inspirational and Motivational
Topic:  IF IT HAD HAPPENED!

Thank God it did not!  But I just imagined (best to leave it at the imagination relm)  if it had happened, many things would have been said for or against me.  I recalled someone recently someone said concerning my farming ambition, “And you left the whole of Iyin and went all the way to Erio in your quest to farm.  What on earth are you looking for there?   If it had actually happened, this person would have said, “But I said it, what is he looking for that he cannot get within his Immediate Iyin  environment and had to waste himself away just this way?”   But the answer is that as far as commercial farming is concerned, there’s no tractorable land Iyin area and any land upon which a tractor cannot work is not suitable for a profitable farming.   The only available tractorable land in our environment is the 20-minute drive Erio Government Agric Settlement.  I had to take advantage of it.
Some would say, “Only God knows what he is looking for again as a Pensioner that makes him so restless day and night bumping himself up and down the dangerous roads in the name of farming?”   My simple response is that everyone knows where the shoes pinch him or her.  As long as the shoes still pinch and gives discomfort, he will always be on his toes.  First, I know the very points at which my own pair of shoes pinch me so, I must respond to it appropriately by working, I mean farming.  By the way what’s wrong in being constructively engaged?  It is in Nigeria that a 60 or 75 years old man considers himself old enough not to lift his fingers!  As for me, by God’s grace,  if God wills, I shall still be farming and driving at age 100 years, though it may not be commercial farming because “bodily exercise profiteth little’.  I need that little to keep me fit.
Secondly, common logic dictates that there is no amount of money a pensioner receives that  inflation will not render inadequate after just  3  years  into retirement if nothing is done to augment it?  I don’t want to beg for bread at my old age.
So I must still spend the abounding energy (thanks be to God),  to prepare myself ready for my old age care while it is still there.   This is one of the reasons, I had to voluntarily retire at 51 years of age.  I hear someone say, “But your children are there to cater for you at your old age.”   I have this to say, “Yes, I know I am blessed with wonderful children who would not hesitate to take good care of me at my old age but  I must wait till I am really old before looking up to them for support, not at age 62.  And the support must be humane enough as to allow them to cater for their own families too, if not, I might end up being a burden to them which I pray not to be.
One of the problems of families is perpetual recycling of poverty by placing serious burdens upon one another.  I don’t want this in my own family set up.  I want my children to be truly free indeed.  That’s why I did not have more than the number of children I could cater for.  I hate the idea of the children, particularly the first, second and third becoming the burden bearers for my 6th, 7th,8th and the 12th Children?  I must be responsible for the upbringing of all the children that God has given to me, not my older children who should be catering for their own families!
What really happened and what was the cause?    It was a near-road accident that would have taken place approximately a few poles to Erio, coming from Aramoko Ekiti yesterday 12th November 2018.
There was this Siena SUV car driven by a very sane and defensive driver coming from the opposite direction.  He spotted a deep pot hole before him, slowed down gently went into it and came out without posing any danger to me on the opposite lane.  However, there came from nowhere behind him, this crazy also a Sienna  SUV car driven by an insane driver who ran at a speed of light, suddenly noticing that the vehicle in his front slowed down and without any proper check, dashed towards his left and faced me s

quarely on the opposite lane.  To God be the glory, I managed, within a split second, to swerve to my (of course bushy) right hand side and with just a margin of less than 0.75” between us, an AVOIDABLE I head-on collision was averted!
This is the skill and luck that many did not have, that led to calamities on our roads and which makes it look as if God does not answer prayers.  Fellow road users, let’s all be careful on our roads.  Expect a fool at the corner.  Take it that you are the only sane driver on the road as you use our roads.
All road accidents are preventable if only we will all adjust to the dictates of our roads.   Unlike Ondo State’s THREE successive (PDP/APC) Governments, who abandoned their roads at the detriment of all, Governors Fayemi and Fayose, I can attest,  did their very best to fix Ekiti roads, particularly these so-called Federal Roads  but they still wear out fast because surely over-used.   I salute them.  Let Governor Fayemi please help re-fix the roads again so that we the users will not continue to be ensnared by the deadly potholes.  Above all, I give glory to God Almighty for protecting all of us who would have been victims.  There would have been another  lie told by many people that the “ember” months are life claimers! Please share extensively.  You may be saving a life.

AT YOUR NADIR? BE ENCOURAGED!

Topic:  AT YOUR NADIR? BE ENCOURAGED!

“You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.  You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.”  Lam. 3:43-44

When one faces serious challenges of life, it would appear as if the end has come. While in the midst of these challenges it will be as if God does not answer prayers anymore as expressed in the above verse.  I remember the story of a particular educated Christian whose sister took ill.  He had done everything a brother could do to help her beloved sister but all to no avail.  Then he turned to God in prayers.  He made a covenant with Him thus, “If my sister would recover from this illness, I will serve yon till the end of my life.  But if she does not, I will deny you.”  His sister died and he forsook God!  Late Dr. Tai Solar in used to be a very humble Christian in his early days.   Once upon a time, he had read well preparatory to writing his WAEC examinations.  Out of the confidence he build through hard work, he was sure to pass.  Then he decided to challenge God Almighty “If only You are there, God, let me fail this examination. If I failed, I will continue to serve you but if not, I will deny you.”   He passed!  He forsook God.  Giving God conditions to do something for us as if He is subject to us, is like a child giving his parents conditions for accepting something good for him from them.  It is a foolish approach to realising out goals.

In whatever situation we are, let’s not give God conditions.  Let’s pray to Him.  If He answers, so be it.  If not, so be it.  After all, He knows how to bring something good out of a hopeless situation!  I still maintain that if I did not fail a paper during my Diploma Days in the University, I would probably never have gotten admitted to the Degree level.  The disappointment I had with my failure paved the way for springing up of a helper who ensured I was admitted to the Degree level.  Rather than tempt God, when you are at your lowest ebb, be encouraged.  Trust in God that at the end of the crisis, you will come out a better person. Always tell yourself when in crisis: “There’s hope for me”.

*LETTER TO Mr. FLESH - IN MY BODY*

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Welcome back to my blogsite. From now on wards, God willing,  I shall be more regular on this site because it will preserve its postings longer than any other platform.

Let's begin with this anonymous but very useful article I  have just read titled
*LETTER TO Mr.  FLESH - IN MY BODY*

The article captures the whole essence of Christianity and indeed our entire lives  - to make heaven.  It settles once and for all the incessant struggles between our flesh and our 'borrowed' soul which ought to return to its Maker. Let it guide us all.

*LETTER TO Mr.  FLESH - IN MY BODY*

(Romans 8:8)

EARLY IN LIFE
I THOUGHT YOU WERE ME

I HAVE THE CLEAR UNDERSTANDING NOW
THAT I BORROWED YOU, AND
THE REAL ME IS INSIDE OF YOU

I ALSO KNEW YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HEAVEN, NEITHER WILL YOU END UP IN HELL

YOU WILL NOT LEAVE HERE

YOU WILL GO UNDER THE EARTH

EVEN THE BONES WILL GET ROTTEN LATER

SO I HAVE DECIDED "Mr. BODY", TO KEEP YOU IN CHECK....

*YOU WILL NOT CONTROL ME

*YOU WILL NOT LEAD ME TO HELL

*YOUR LIFE SPAN IS 0-120
BUT AM GOING TO LIVE FOREVER IN ETERNITY, SO
I CAN'T SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL

*IF YOU ENJOYED SIN FOR 100years
AND I END UP BURNING IN HELL, THEN AM NOT WISE IF I ALLOW THAT

*WHEN AM EATING, YOU ARE THE ONE BENEFITTING

*WHEN AM SLEEPING IT'S FOR YOU ALONE, BECAUSE THE SPIRIT DOESN'T SLEEP

*ALL THE MONEY I HAVE RECEIVED IS FOR YOUR CONSUMPTION

*AFTER HERE NO RECORD OF THESE THINGS...

-I NEED SPIRITUAL FOOD
WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD

-I NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY MAKER, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT

SO FROM NOW ON Mr. FLESH,
I SUBJECT YOU TO THE WORD OF GOD

*YOU WILL NOT CONTROL ME

*YOU WILL NOT DISCONNECT ME FROM GOD

*YOU WILL KEEP AND OBEY GOD'S WORD SO THAT I CAN GO BACK TO MY MAKER

*YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO LOOSE, BECAUSE AM THE ONE GIVING YOU LIFE

*YOU WILL BE REFERRED TO AS DEAD BODY AND WITHOUT ME THEY WILL BURY YOU

SO YOU BETTER BEAR ALONG AND KEEP FOLLOWING ME ......

Thanks for choosing to cooperate with me.

Glory Be To God for Adding Another Year.

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psa. 90:12

E very year, I hardly remembered my birthday anniversary not to talk of marking it. Indeed, I most times I  don’t remember it because I saw myself as still being in the battle field where much ground needed to be conquered.  So I have fully engaged myself  that I hardly knew when the 22nd of July flew past.
But every time I forgot, there were consistently many well-wishers amongst my family members and friends alike whose best wishes messages trooped in to serve as a reminder.  I am grateful to them just as I humbly pray to God for forgiveness for not offering Him commensurate thanksgiving as He  added more years.  So I publicly declare His goodness before the entire world this 22nd day of July 2018 as I turn 61 years!

At 61, what are there to celebrate?  So many things.  It all began with my birth coming to the world.
Secondly, I was born into paganism.  My mother was particularly very devoted to idol worshipping. When He wanted to save both of us, He caused me to take ill, an illness which defied all solutions until, I was brought before Him in a crusade where He healed me. My mother lived the rest of her life serving God.  So of all I am, SALVATION is the foundation.
Yes, I mean salvation came first, and its other benefits followed.  I wasn’t born with a silver spoon.  But He gave me a silver spoon by Himself.   He led me by His hand through my educational growth, education, marital, career, parenting and retirement pursuits and all came out to be very successful.   He trained my hands for war against poverty the end result of which is that my life became far better than my parents! Above all, anything and everything I lay my hands upon succeeds ad His favours surround me all the time.  I am enjoying peace ALL-ROUND.
Dear reader of this message, if you haven’t come to Jesus, I tell you, you are missing a lot.  Accept him as your Lord and personal saviour today. Then you will understand what I am celebrating and share in the experience yourself.
So, please join me to celebrate my God at my 61st birthday anniversary!  God bless you.

WHERE OUR CHURCHES MISSED IT (PART 4)

WHERE OUR CHURCHES MISSED IT (PART 4)

I don’t want to call people names, particularly supposed men of God.  However, I saw something was fundamentally wrong with that approach.  When a person raises an opinion that intends to build rather than destroy, that person’s action should not be termed antagonistic or ‘misleading’ particularly when he had addressed it to the right quarters (like a Pastors’ Forum) that can investigate and verify the claims he has made.  Unfortunately that’s the position of our senior Pastors in many contemporary churches.  They block avenues for improving the church and the leadership do not have cogent information to work with to improve the church.   And the churches continues with its old practices which are detrimental to their own growth.
Some leaders, even when they get the information, all they say is “get out if you are not pleased with our policies”.  Whichever way the optimistic observer tilts, he is met with a brick wall.   The options left for him are: quit the stage or remain in there but be silent and watch things deteriorate. Many people adopt the latter approach and they act with insincerity of heart which the bible calls “hipocrisy”.  They don’t believe in what they are doing but they want to please man, not God which is the most dangerous thing to do.
I have talked majorly on three major areas where churches our churches need to improve upon:
1.  The monies they collect from people which make them look like business centres.  Collect monies that are biblically allowed.  Do not to say what is not biblically  mandatory is mandatory to cajole people to drop money unwillingly and at all costs.  There’s this confusion as to whether all the old testament laws are applicable in the New Testament.  Let’s leave tithing alone.  According to the old testament, men ought not to shave. Why are men of God clean-shaving today?  Men ought not to eat certain animals because they are unholy.  Catfish is one of them.  Today we do eat them.  Paul had serious encounters with the Jews who insisted that circumcision of the flesh is law but he tutored them to understand that ‘circumcision of the min’’ is more important.  Men ought not to divorce their wives but Jesus says that is God’s intention but the hardness of our hearts led us to do divorce.  A woman by the well had several previous husbands but Jesus said that even her then supposed husband was not her husband which means she has made wrong choices and has not even got it right.  Please let’s not get lazy, all these things are in the Bible. Asking me for the Bible Passages?  I urge you to read the Bible not just portions of it so that you can appreciate the context in which the Bible is talking.
2. The uses they put the application of such monies so collected to be in line with God’s intention for collecting them.  People have been criticising our churches for building schools that their members cannot afford to send their children.   One thing ought to be made clear to the membership of our churches.  Let them know whether  it is the church that owns the church or the General Overseers.  There’s nothing wrong if a General Overseer owns a School.  Everybody will know that it is a private business and no unnecessary expectation will be placed on them for scholarship.  But if it is the church that owns it, no doubt many members of such church will expect that they get some benefits from them.  Our church leaders are silent on the ownership of the schools their churches seem to be running.  This has led to misconception and wrong expectations leading to avoidable accusations.
I used to know a boy who lost both of his parents when he was very young.  Finally the grandmother relocated from Lagos to her village.  On getting to the village, the boy who was very skilled in drumming started using his talent for God in an orthodox Church.  The church took over the education of the boy and today, he is about completing his education.  This is a meaningful welfare package.  Whereas there are many Pentecostal churches today that have no adequate welfare packages to cater for the needy.  They know how best to receive, not to give. Yet they are building cathedrals! This unbiblical practices must be changed.
3. Over-burdening the people with Crowded church programmes.  Over-crowded programmes are derailing the people being recycled to attend them psychologically, medically such that they lose focus on how to plan their lives.  For instance, churches take advantage of Holidays to make their members restless.  They have taken over their members’ week-ends 100%.  Many students have misunderstood spirituality and devoted less time to their studies and they failed.  It takes time to think through and it takes time to plan and get results on any pursuit in life.  Many have been overburdened with spirituality that they have no time left to think, plan and execute projects that would have bettered their lots.  Let me share a real life experience here to the glory of God and to the edification of man.   I studied privately after Primary education to become a University Graduate and get called to the Nigerian Bar.  It took hard work, devotion of ample time, energy financial resources and a lot of prayers for me to accomplish this.  I devoted ample time to my career yet I was schooling.  In spite of these, I looked after my home front.  Yet I did not sacrifice serving God to the best of my ability to the point that I attended as much of the Bible Studies, Colleges, etc and got certificated in all of them.  In the process, I got ordained as Deacon and finally an Assistant Pastor in a reputable church as RCCG and eventually voluntarily retired as an Area Pastor at age 60.   Today, I am all the better for all the efforts invested in all those directions.  Anytime I looked back, I give glory to God and I pat myself on the back for being wise not to ignore anything needed to be done.  How did I achieve these?  I must tell you that much as I was persuaded to devote my entire life to spirituality, I was able to discern that that would not profit me and I applied wisdom to give some time to other pursuits.

The story has changed today.  Many of our converts are so gullible that they can’t distinguish which programme to attend.  They want to attend everything because the churches lay more emphasis miracles without action which unfortunately, they believe in. When they review their lives later,  they discover that they made avoidable mistakes, some too late to correct!  For God’s sake let’s not over-saddle our church members with programmes that give them no time to attend to their private lives.  We cannot fix mid-week vigils and when the workers get to work and are unproductive and get punished for such and begin to send Holy Ghost fire to consume their superiors.  A lot of lives have been lost to travelling to Campgrounds for programmes that can be watched over the net.   For instance RCCG’s Dove Decoder is subscription free.  Why ask people not to come to the Camp Ground for what Dove TV can beam to them in their local parishes or private homes?    The cost of logistics is financially overburdening and the exposure to all sorts of travelling risks are there.  Many people (Pastors and families inclusive) that I know  have lost their lives to road accidents due to these exposures to imminent dangers.  It is not that we won’t die but we should not die so cheaply.

These are the truth that is worth considering by our churches.  I have nothing against anyone of them.  They are the representative of God.  However, their actions must protect the sanctity of their members lives by not exposing them to unnecessary hardships.  Here I rest my case.   May God Almighty help us, and our Church leaders not only to accept but to follow the path of truth that will set us all free in Jesus name.

Nobody to Develop You, Develop Yourself

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Today’s Energiser
Genre:  Inspirational and Motivational
Topic:  If There’s No One to Develop You, Develop Yourself

In an ideal world, all things being equal, it is the direct God-assigned responsibility of parents to raise their children to the point they will be fully matured and independent.  But in reality, on very few occasions has the economists’ theory ‘cetris paribus’ hold true because most often all things are never equal for myriads of reasons. The most common of such reasons are: the untimely death of parents, particularly the father, divorce cases, pre-marital sexual exposures leading to giving birth to unplanned children, natural disasters, outright unwillingness of parents to take care of their children, and so on and so forth.

Let me address  two key most important areas that children need their parents’ care most.  Linkage with God and Education (formal and informal).

On linkage with God, Bible enjoins parents in Prov. 22:6 to “Train up a child the way  he will go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”.  The irony of life is that even majority of Christian parents themselves do not really take this admonition seriously when bring up their children.  They do not introduce their children to God early enough in life through dedicated family altars and because the children are not rooted in the word of God, they choose contrary lives as they grow older in life.

In Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”   Insight comes through gaining wisdom, knowledge and understanding.  Apart from children who had the misfortune of being disadvantaged of finding themselves in an unideal situations, many parents lack this understanding. As a result, they bother less about educating their children.

One thing I have observed about life is that it is a very open world.   There are people out there who are not one’s parents but who are prepared to play the roles of parents effectively well for children who show interest in their future.  For instance, churches are there to lead such willing children to God while there are people out their who are willing to sponsor brilliant children who show commitment to their studies to any level of education they want to attain.  But unfortunately, many children reject invitation to God and do not me take their academic pursuits serious as to qualify for scholarship.

My take is this anyone who does not reject God and focuses also his attention very well on his education can lead a successful life.  Therefore I urge you, don’t focus on the shortcomings you have. Rather be determined to raise yourself above the ordinary level you are.  As you strive to do this, your God is there to lead you to the helpers of your destiny.  Best of luck.

WOMEN AND THEIR HUSBANDS

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please it to all your contacts.  This masterpiece  from my friend he Oduro Oladunni is very instructive.  Happy reading .

Quote

SOME WIVES REDUCE THEIR HUSBANDS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.

Some wives are very protective of their husbands, and so they reduce them in the sight of God.

They keep them hidden from relatives, and even some of them that were not properly trained from home will try to erect a barrier between their husbands and the parents who brought them into the world.

And such poisonous ones are the ones who will sing loudest in the Church and give the impression that they are very active for God.

Which God?

God that says you should honour your father and mother so that your days may be lengthened.

So I say that such wives just want to kill their husbands early so that they can inherit their possession. Right?

When you keep them away from their parents because you are protective, you are only telling God not to lengthen the days of your husband. You are a murderer. Okay?

Some wives do not like their husbands to touch the lives of others with their resources. They fence off people who approach their husbands for help, and they are ready to tell all kinds of lies about their husband to achieve this.

They will rather prefer that their husband spend his resources on them alone to buy expenses clothes and shoes, to buy hair of dead oyinbo people and those hair shaved off as offerings to various gods of the Indians....

They forget the word of God that says cast your bread on the waters and after many days you will find it....

They forget that Jesus says, if you feed the needy, clothe the need, care for the needy when sick, you are doing it for Jesus Himself.

So you prevent your husband from touching the heart of Jesus just because somebody slipped a ring in your finger and called you wife.

Thank God that I do not have a wife like that who will be remote controlling me from touching the life of others. Yes, she has some needs which I have not been able to meet, but does it mean that I must not touch other pressing needs of people just because I cannot meet all her needs?

Even in the church circle, some women do not allow their husbands to touch the life of fellow church members just because they don't 'like' such members very well. I know that because I feel that I have missed some professional help a few times on the basis of that. Thank God that I don't allow such feelings to get under my skin.

So wives, leave your husband to touch the life of others as God lays it in their heart. Even though some things you need are still outstanding, don't prevent your husband so as not to lose his blessings before God.

Husbands, don't allow your wives to prevent you from doing good deeds. If you feel that she is the type that cannot change, then stop telling her about the person you want to help. Do it without her knowledge. After all, God who put such thoughts in your heart to help someone is GREATER than your wife. Abi now?

Let Jesus Christ Be at the Centre of Running Your Life (4)

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

I read with keen interest, my friend Hc Oduro Oladunni’s opening remarks in his facebook post  of 17th October 2018 on what some people think Christianity actually is.  They see Christianity as a weapon in the hands of the whites to continue to put the black in slavery.  I also love the articulation of his personal experiences with Jesus Christ that which he used to support his assertion that Christianity is real, not an instrument of oppression invented by one race to dominate another. Unless you experience Christ in a personal way, Christianity will mean a thousand and one things to you and you will never be able to claim your own portion in Christ.   The real test of Christianity is in your personal experience with Christ.  I started sharing my testimonies on Christianity in the social media (facebook, whatsapp and Telegram) recently and this is the fourth edition and honestly speaking, it is going to be an unending serialisation for the benefit of those whom God had destined to win.  Shortly, they will all be posted in my blogsite at www.dailyenergiser.blogspot.com where they will be permanently accessible to willing minds.

I say Christianity is real.  I say this because of my personal landmark experiences in this life.  Let me share another one here as it relates to my career, just as my friend Hc Oduro of Igbemo did.  I went to Lagos on January 2 1973 in company of my brother who promised to send me to school.  Unfortunately, this promise he could not keep.  Then I opted to look for a job which will enable me to sponsor myself.  The very first job I got with Specomill Textiles Limited, Ikeja  – thanks to my same kind brother – was titled “Factory Operative” (simply meaning a labourer).  I took it joyfully.  After some months on the job, I discovered I was in a career not fit for me.  I was simply a bunch of broom (or better still a mopping stick) in the hands of the Chinese people good only for cleaning purposes.  Then I wasn’t’ going to church and I resisted all attempts at making me to do so.  However, out of my desperation, to change this undesirable career, I suddenly started praying fervently to God to deliver me from slavery, career wise. Indeed, at a point, my colleagues nicknamed me “Pastor”, some even mocked me or made jest of me. But each time I was mocked, I prayed louder to God to deliver me.   I searched, searched and searched for years for a better job to no avail.

One day in 1976 or thereabouts, I RELUCTANTLY went to Christ Gospel Church on the invitation of my close friend whom we were both rejecting Christ before but who got converted before me.  On getting there, the Holy Spirit took over the service.  In closing his sermon, the Pastor then asked us to request from God what we needed.  Of course, top on my agenda was ‘a change of job’.  After the prayers we were asked never again to repeat the same requests but simply thank God for them having been granted.  I stuck religiously to this golden advice.

On getting home same day, an Uncle of mine had come to look for me at least twice for an employment opportunity which arose from a newly formed company.  It wasn’t long I came back that Uncle Kayode came back again to fetch me.  He drove me straight to my destiny-changing professional career as a Clerk Typist!  The miracle was that even though I could type very well, I had no certificate to prove my competence in the my chosen Secretarial profession.  Also, to worsen my story, all I had as evidence of having schooled at all was my tattered First Leaving School Testimonial.  I had not obtained the Certificate!  All these notwithstanding, the Favour from God and man gave me the employment which marked the beginning of my purposeful career in life.  You may say this is coincidental but I will respond that it is God’s work.  It is Jesus Christ in action.  Why, in spite of my personal efforts, hasn’t this coincidence been every long before the day I finally suYemi Omogboyega:
rrendered my life to Christ?

Brethren, many are in bondage till date because of their unbelief.  Why remain among them and keep preventing your own miracles from happening?  Come to Jesus Christ today and your life will never remain the same. Please read Matthew 7:7.  God bless you.

My Practical Approach to Work Life Balance

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

***
“I wonder how you are able to combine  your various assignments as a farmer, a Pastor, a Writer, an activist, a  motivational speaker, a Teacher and a Chief participating actively in local matters …  and yet make a mark in them all?”, my Kabiyesi, The Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba (Justice) John Ademola Ajakaiye sometimes ago. once asked  me during the launching of our Garri Processing Centre a few years ago.
My honest response was, “Kabiyesi, I don’t know myself.  It is a mystery because I just see myself accomplishing these feats seamlessly and without being tired and without any conflict whatsoever”.

Recently, I decided to probe into my mode of operations. And I made some discoveries. My first discovery was that I had  some consistent daily operational cycles that are most probably responsible for my ability to accomplish many things almost at the same time.  Let me share some of these:
I sleep around 9pm. If am not sick or on prescription that extends my sleep,  I must wake up between 12.30 and 1 am. On waking up, I pray, I read or write books,  meditate etc. Between 4-6am, I go back to bed not really sleeping but relaxing my brain after those tedious exercises. By 6 am. My family members gather for family which, of necessity, I must Pastor.  Between 7am and 8 a.m., I take my breakfast and am off to the farm. By 1pm, am back home, take my lunch, relax, (if sleep knocks the door, I take an hour or two nap), then at 4pm (if not on a church fellowship day) I would be back at the farm.  Between 6pm-7pm. I am back home.
“At 61 years of age, if you operate these crowded working life, how then do you manage your health?”  This is surely the question that will come to your mind.
In the first place I don’t believe that hard work kills.  Instead, I believe hard work prolongs life because a diligent worker exercises himself mentally, physically, spiritually and intellectually which makes his total being to be consistently active.   Creativity also drives away boredom and keeps one on the alert always because there are always things to do.

I take my health as seriously as I take my work.  Let me shed more lights on how I manage my health.
Armed with a digital bp checker which was made a gift to me by a caring relative, I check my bp by myself almost every day or at least once every other day.   My established and consistent average reading is 117/84.
Secondly, I have access to three medical facilities:  a private Doctor, an official Doctor and Government hospitals where I do religiously go for routine annual medical check-ups.
Thirdly having been diagnosed as having bp from the age of 45 years, I stick religiously to my daily dose of anti-bp prescriptions.  Even though am a Pastor, I DON’T FAITH IT. No. That will be like putting God to the test. I have known the truth from my medical report so the truth should set me free!
Fourthly, I am a man so close to nature.  I dwell in a well planted garden that supplies me with all that nature offers, oxygen and with the cultivation of vegetables, assorted fruits like oranges, guava, coconuts, pineapples, pawpaw, watermelon, cucumber, etc, I have all that nature offers for one to live a healthy life.   Except on very few occasions when I feel like buying red-meat for a change, I am personally responsible for rearing the meat my family consumes (chickens, turkeys, snails, catfish, goats, etc. I produce the garri, yams, tomatoes, etc and now we’ve started milling our own palm-oil within our own compound.
Fifthly, even though I don’t pattern myself after athletes, I do mild exercise as my body tells me to do as and when it does so.

Whatever is left unearned in terms of needed mineral supplements is taken care of by a daily dose of either Wellman or Reload  mulitivitamin suppliments.
More importantly, no matter how crowded my work schedule might be, I make it a point of duty to listen to my body and follow whatever message it passes to me at any point in time. For instance, whenever I noticed that I am experiencing some stress, I stopped all my work-related activities and rested for as long as my body tells me to.  When crowded church activities were overwhelming and taking its toll heavily on my health, I voluntarily stepped down and limited myself to what I can do at my own pace and that my age and body can cope effectively with.
I had used Drivers earlier in my life but I discovered that 80 per cent of them were actually avoidable burdens rather than assets.  With drivers, you enjoy no privacy. They gossip a lot. They give spread false and dangerous information about you, especially on financial matters, many of them bring their domestic burdens upon you,  some are so dangerous that you hardly can take a nap while they are driving you without running into a ditch or some are outright thieves looking for an opportunity to strike you where it pains most. When  I summed all these together, I decided to drive myself at my own pace and time. If I have a long journey to make, I will deliberately split such journeys into two instead of one day. For instance, driving to Lagos from Ekiti, I book 2 days.  After two hours of consistent driving, I will either check into an hotel or a private setting and enjoy the rest of the day resting. The following day, I continue with my journey. Sometimes, during driving, fatigue might sight in, when this happens. I do not hesitate to look for a safe place eg., not too far from police check points (not too close either), filling station or a public place where food vendors do their businesses, park my vehicle, relax my seat and go for a sleep.  I won’t proceed on such journey until my body tells me, “go”. My maximum speed limit is 110km/h. My average speed is 90km/hr. It may take me longer to reach my destination but I get there relax. While driving, if I noticed that vehicles are too many around me, I reduce my speed to allow them all overtake me. This way I am the owner of both sides of the road that I occupy at any particular point in time!
My farming business is taken as a past-time activity. I pay people to do the real work, unless where they leave the work midstream and I can do something to save the situation.  I only supervise. To reduce the tendency of disappointments that would lead me to over-labouring myself, I chose mechanization. For instance, if a Sprayer stops mid-way to spray my farm and it must be accomplished immediately, before you knew it, I pick up my electric pump which requires no manual pumping, to do the work in no time and put the enemy to shame.  Instead of carrying 16 litre-full load, I carry 10 litres at a time. My ultimate goal is to make all my farms tractorable and OWN the tractors and other implements myself so I will not be frustrated depending upon others.
While in paid employment with a reputable international organization, I was following my body's dictate.  We had 60 years retirement age but I targeted retiring at 45 which for reasons ranging from paying children’s school fees, lack of adequate savings to start my own business and other unforeseeable uncertainties, I tarried till I was 51 years before calling it quit.  My experience as a paid employee is that it is better to retire early to create a business of your own than for one’s life to be limited to employers stipends. Stipends in the sense that responsibilities are always 50 times higher than actual incomes. All that salary earners depend upon is loan upon loans which renders him or her poor on exit.  So it is better to find one’s feet before the so-called official retirement age knocks at one’s door.

Above all, dear readers, having taking all these steps towards managing my health, I pray to God and depend upon Him for longevity and a life spent in excellent health.  Surprisingly, Dr. Jesus responds almost once every year by examining me, treating whatever needed to be treated and gives me my latest medical results in my dreams which have always been an excellent one as is always revealed by the various annual medical reports I receive after conducting my routine medical checks!
Even though I am advancing in calendar age, I feel  youthful spirituality and medically! A few years back, we did a medical check on REAL AGE compared to my calendar age.  My result was that I was 7 years younger than my calendar age! Who knows, I might even be 10 years or more younger today!   All these are the Lord's doings, despite what Nigeria offers us, and I am grateful to Him.
Do I have no worry at all?  What would have troubled me at all in life is lack of adequate funds to carry out my projects.  What do I do? I go borrow money to the limit of my ability to pay which sometimes puts pressure on my family during repayment.  Thank God for that ‘borrowing’ channel. It is the bridge between financial poverty and financial prosperity. I am praying and working hard to cross the inevitable bridge.  The day I do, which God willing I know I shall do, the day I am relieved of all my burdens. In the meantime, I cast the burden upon my God. So I am not troubled by it at all for I know it is a passing phase In my life.

So, you can see that that though I am busy, I don't neglect my health one bit. Maybe, my readers can learn one or two things from my approach to work and health balance.  God bless you.
I cherish and practise the rule of work-life balance.

A Destiny Helper

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Today’s Energiser
Topic: A Destiny Helper
Bible Text:  “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”  Heb. 13:6

Who are helpers?  Helpers are those who make the attainment of set goals easier for the people they are assisting to reach such goals.  When we talk of destiny helpers, we are therefore talking about those who make the attainment of another person(s) destiny attainable.

To think that a helper is limited to those who help you is to make a mistake.  It is not so.  Everybody is a helper of destiny.  You are one.  I am one. Our strategies may differ just as our assignments may equally do.

When we look at helpers of destiny from the perspective of those who help us alone, we tend to be selfish and might behave like pesters who bothered not about what they can do to help others.  But when we look at it from the angle of being helpers of other people’s destiny, then we will have a balanced picture of who a helper of destiny is.  Just as we need help, so do others need our help in whatever capacity we can.  Some people also consider helpers of destiny as those who always give them money to do something.  This is a myopic thinking.  Money is important but helps do come from different angles.

A brilliant student who assists in coaching another less brilliant student until the latter gain mastery of his subject is a destiny helper.  A wife is given to a man and vice versa to help one another in many ways: to avoid loneliness, to procreate, to support the man, financially, spiritually, materially, morally etc (Prov. 31:11-31).  Likewise the man is assigned to his wife to provide for her abundantly. Parents are duty-bound to be the destiny-helpers to their children by taking the best of care of them until they can stand on their own.  Siblings are destiny helpers of one another if only they will recognise their roles and perform them.  Good friends are destiny helpers as well.

Churches provide spiritual help while secular schools provide academic help to the people to assist them to attain a better tomorrow.  We have gifted teachers, gifted counsellors etc who are all in the business of helping the destiny of other people. So stop seeing yourself as someone who must always be assisted without a responsibility to assist others fulfil their own destinies.  If you think this way, you will never be creative and will be completely self-centred, burdensome to others instead of sharing the burdens of others.  In whatever capacity you can, help people.

Another thing to remember is that help should be a help.  I mean assistance!  If you take help too far, you will overstretch your helper and he will run away from you.  Let him or her determine the best way he or she thinks they can help you.  Avoid giving people the bills for the goods they never purchase and asking them to bear it all just because they must help you. Just imagine somebody coming to you every now and then for financial support.  At a stage you will see such a person as a waster.  I guess you will at a stage begin to avoid him or her.   Let help be voluntary.  Let help be free will.  Let help be something that you give or receive without pestering your helpers.   Again, if someone is unable to assist you, don’t pick a quarrel with him or her – instead appreciate his past help (if any) and seek your present help elsewhere while maintaining cordial relationship all along.  His time for assisting you may not be today.  He may be the one inviting you for support when you least expected he could offer one. If you are unable to render help to people, do not compound their problems by calling them names (a pester, a disturber, a detractor, a never-do-well, an ingrate, etc) just because they ask you for support.  Before those looking up to you for one help or another, always tow the path of humility knowing fully well that God Almighty is the overall help for us all in times of need.  Do what you can do cheerfully and let you helpee be motivated and be voluntarily provoked to be grateful to you for ever.

Action Point.  Resolve today to see yourself as a helper of somebody’s destiny and play that role.  Resolve also not to be a burden on other people in the name of seeking their help without a break.

Prayer Point:  Lord, lay it upon the hearts of my destiny helpers to perform their roles without me pestering them.  Lord bless me to the point that I can be a blessing to others in Jesus name.

ONLY GOD IS WISE (A Study in Contrast)

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Today’s Energiser
Topic:  ONLY GOD IS WISE   (A Study in Contrast)
Bible Text:  There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise. Prov. 26:12

Never think you are wise.  Only God is wise.   Our wisdom is foolishness before God.

In those days, it was believed that when a man is educated his success is guaranteed.  Today that has become folly because there are many graduates roaming the streets begging for bread.  It was thought that when you are in business, you will be in money.  It is clear today that many businessmen are as poor as church rats. Why?  It is simply because it is now the market that dictates the price at which products must be sold and most often it is far below the cost incurred by the producer in producing the market!

It is said that children born out of wedlock will misbehave.  It is now known that that is not true.   Some of them even behave better than the so-called free born.  For instance, Jephthah was born out of wedlock yet he was well-behaved.  He ruled his family even over the free-born!  Abraham Lincoln’s mother’s has a background similar to being born outside wedlock. Yet she produced the greatest President America ever produced!   What has Esau done right from the womb that God decided to hate him and love Jacob instead?  Why did God not punish Jacob’s mother for loving one child over another?  Why would Abraham, in spite of his nick name “father of faith” not receive his promised child until he practically provoked it after all logical possibility of having Isaac has since forgotten?  Why should Job suffer even though he was pure at heart?  Why must Eli and Samuel work so hard in the ministry and fail in the home front?

Human beings don’t and will not want to understand why a child born outside wedlock should be permitted to go to his biological father when he or she grows up to know the fact.  Yet that’s exactly what God wants.  It is illogical to man why God should did not kill Cain for killing Abel, why if a child is born through incest or from a brother and a sister, God should be interested in that child  in spite of their parents grave sins.  Yet God does not throw such children overboard, rather He cares for them.  That’s not to say that their parents will be free from their pangs of the abomination they committed.  But wait, can you consider it wisdom, yet it is so on the part of Gods, that if such parents sincerely repent of their sins, God will forgive and blot out their sins?

Can you imagine Jesus forgiving a repentant sinner on the cross who never followed the process of baptism (water or spirit),never spoke in tongue and never completed the various processes that according to the Bible qualify one to make heaven?   Can you imagine Saul, the persecutor and prosecutor of the Christians and who killed several of them suddenly becoming a saint?  My dear brethren, just note this:  ONLY GOD IS WISE. He is unquestionable!

Action Point:  Never consider yourself as having the monopoly of wisdom.  The person you are condemning might be a saint before God.

Prayer point:  Lord, prevail upon me never to think I am wise in my own eyes.  Instead, subsume my wisdom over your faultless one and let me never question You in any way.  Secondly, Lord my wisdom is foolishness therefore, justify me Yourself with your unconditional love and mercy.  Let Your love and mercy overshadow my multitude of sins in Jesus name.

Today's Energiser: YOU MUST WORK DAY AND NIGHT

Thank you for reading Daily Energiser. Please recommend it to all your contacts.

Bible Text:   In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.  Eccl. 11:6
Sometimes, when I wake up at 4 a.m. switch my lamp on and cross over to the backyard garden and begin to transplant tomatoes, those around me often say, “Daddy, does not sleep”.  They never knew that I had made a discovery in Eccl. 11:6 where I have understood the mind of God as far as working (or praying or reading or writing or farming etc is concerned)  A good example as a writer is that this piece you are reading is written between 1:40 and 2:51 am, otherwise I probably would have claimed there was no time to write it!
If you are not persistent in your sowing or even during harvest, you will either plant nothing or you will lose your all your harvests to the animals, pests or thieves who are waiting to reap where they never sowed.  There was this maize I planted mid-2016.  It did so well but I had no time to harvest it.    By the time I got there, it was rather too late.  Our friends,  the cow rearers and their  cows have dealt wickedly with it.  I gained nothing from all my labours!   Likewise, if you are to tomato farmer, if you are not persistent, you will never have cause to rejoice because you may have to plant each heap more than five times before it can stand.  Therefore if you are easily discouraged, don’t venture into tomato farming.  (Where then will you venture into that does not require persistence? I don’t know for all ventures are the same) But if you have a heart that never gives up, keep sowing.   After three months, you will be the happiest tomato farmer when you see the lights that shine upon every tomato stem you plant.  However, if you lose speed in harvesting, you may lose everything just as I did! You must be a hard and at the same time a smart worker to make gains.   That is the reality of life.  It is a game.  You never can tell which experiment will work.  Therefore, you must keep on experimenting, day and night.   It is a restless place.  It does not smile at anybody!
If we want to make an impact on any venture, we are to work day and night. There are many examples of this in the Bible.   The rains that destroyed the world during Noah’s time fell 40 days and nights non-stop, Gen. 7:4. The Cloud as well as the pillar of light kept the Israelites moving ‘day and night’ to the promised land, Exod. 13:21.  Aaron and his children kept the lamp burning at the Tabernacle day and night, worshipping the Lord.  Exod. 27:21. God commanded Joshua that he should study the word of God and meditate upon it day and night. Moses disappeared into the cloud    forty days an’d forty nights Exod. 24:18.  Moses fasted for 40 days and for forty nights Exod. 34:28. Jesus did the same thing for forty days and forty nights Matt. 4:2.
So if you ever think there a time will come that you will just sit down, fold your arms and things will just happen in your favour, brethren, you are day-dreaming.  Wake up from that slumber and  take day and night as a working time and keep busy sowing your seek.
Action Point:  Resolve to work day and night at whatever you choose to do from now on.
Prayer point:  Lord, according to your word in Deut. 28:12-13, as I work day and night from now, bless all the work of my hands in Jesus name.

Today’s Energiser
Topic:  TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, EVERY DISAPPOINTMENT IS A BLESSING

Bible Text:  “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”  Rom. 8:28

Whenever we were tired of an employer, it was the usual habit of my friend (M.A.C Tombri) and I to change employment.  That was our usual habit and it had always worked for us.   We did until I landed in The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria in 1980 as a Stenographer.  Three and a half years later, I had risen to the position of Personal Assistant to the Executive Director and had foreseen end  of my career as a Secretary.  I needed a change!  I consulted with MAC, as usual and we agreed that advertising, insurance, banking and oil industries were next industries worth exploring. I wasted no time. I prepared my stereo-typed application letters, cyclostyled them, filled in the address sections and signed them.  Next, I  purchased envelopes and postage stamps and sent forth letters to all the organisations in those industries.

Not long after, their replies began to trickle in.   I was invited by UBA for a test and subsequently, interview.  At the same time I was invited by a company from the oil industry for test and subsequently too, interview.  However, of all these invitations I was most interested in the banking industry because it was fashionable become a banker.  And I had connection there too. I was only attending the oil company’s tests for just to fulfil all righteousness.  I was so unconcerned with it such that the first and second transport  money amounting to N10 was  used to buy a book titled “Management Made Simple” so I can always improve myself and remember the organisation’s gesture for good. It never occurred to me that I was actually preparing myself for higher management responsibilities in that international organisation! To worsen my situation, I knew nobody except God Almighty who could help me out with the rigorous tests.

After concluding the tests/interviews with UBA, I was so much confident that I would be employed   that I never considered any alternative as an option.  Alas I was so devastated when while I was expecting an appointment letter I got a DISappointment letter that said something like “we regret we are unable to employ you at this time”.

I was devastated physically, spiritually and I lost my balance psychologically too!  Worse still I was just less than 10 days to the end of my resignation notice to leave the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. I was completely disillusioned but kept on praying to God to please rescue me.  I admitted I did a foolish thing by resigning my appointment (with M.A.N) without first securing a better alternative offer!  Three days to the expiration of my resignation, God pulled a miracle that saved my terrible situation.  Ogilvy Benson and Mather, an advertising company based in Yaba, needed and advertised for a qualified Secretary and I applied.  God singled me out for special favour before the Executive Director Admin (Ms.Tola Olujobi) who handpicked me, not because I was better than the rest 10 contestants!   Three days after I resumed with Ogilvy Benson and Mather, God pulled a greater miracle.  A letter off employment came from the where I had no human but God’s connection.  There I served and retired peacefully after over 25 years of exciting and fruitful working experience!

This is how God works if only we will trust in Him and be hard working.  I do pray today that no matter your situation, your own miracles shall troop in in Jesus name.  Trust in the Lord and work hard.

Prayer point:  Lord, I trust in You to pull your miracles that will transform my life for the better.  Please do so before I am disgraced or mocked by my enemies in Jesus name.

CHANGE IS IMMINENT

Today’s Energiser

Bible Text: “ When the Lord restored his exiles to Jerusalem,*
it was like a dream!  We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”
Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.” Psa. 126

At about 11am on 15th September 2016, after having a light breakfast, I suddenly felt like sleeping. I tried not to abide but I was overpowered.  I  succumbed and laid upon the long seater.  Little did I realise that God wanted to reveal something to me about our dear country Nigeria.  It wasn’t long after I had laid down that I started dreaming.  In the dream, I saw Ex-President Jonathan Goodluck in a standing position looking intently as President Buhari.  The latter was uprooting a very big yam from a big heap.  He dug frantically round the yam but the yam was too big and so deep-routed that it could not be pulled out of the earth. President Buhari continued to dig deeper and deeper pulling the yam at intervals.  (He was conscious not to break the yam). President Jonathan continued to look at him wondering whether he could ever succeed.  At last, after several attempts, President Buhari pulled the yam out of the ground unbroken!

Then Ex-President Jonathan Goodluck went towards President Buhari, stretched forth his right hand to shake him and congratulated him on the feat the latter had just performed.  There and then I heard in my spirit “This is the change we have been waiting for”.  Brethren, whether we believe it or not, there’s certainly hope for Nigeria.  Nigeria will soon experience a sporadic and miraculous change.  Let’s continue to pray not only for it to happen but that we may all be partakers of the benefits of the change.

Prayer point:  O Lord, thank you for revealing to us your plan for Nigeria.  Please help our President to be able to bring about the much expected change and let this miracle happen so soon . When it happens let me pertake in its blessings.

The Surest Routes to Good Success.

Bible Passage:  “Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.
Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. When God’s children are in need, be the one to help them out."    Rom. 12:11

The journey to good success is a tedious one. One needs to know the proper routes to it.  Yes God has made promises to us in His Word (Deut. 28:2-4) but if we take the promises without following the prescribed routes to attaining them, we shall be chasing the shadows.  The promises don’t just come to pass without one lifting a finger!
There are many routes that lead to all-round good success.  They are all subsumed under the word “Obedience to God’s sure principles” – the breakdown of which are: Prayers, Hard Work generousity and Patience.  One recurring decimal in whenever God makes promises to us is, “If you fully obey the Lord your God by keeping all the commands I am giving you today…” Deut. 28:1, Josh. 1:8-10, etc.
Many seem to think that when we talk of success, it is limited to being financially buoyant alone.  No, making ample money is just one of them.  God takes care of that in Deut. 28:12 where the Lord said “You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.” However, to have the money, you must be prepared to work because in the preceding sentence in the same verse, God talked about blessing the work of our hand.  This means, it is a promise that has a condition attached to it.  The condition is, if we must have abundance of money, we must work.   “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens to bless all the work you do.” .  Hosea 4:6 says “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. It is all your fault, you priests, for you yourselves refuse to know me.
Another condition we must obey is that to succeed, we must know God.  If we don’t know him, then we are undoing ourselves and we are far from true success because He is the granter of it.  How do you know God?  It is simple, we need to study His word diligently day and night “Jos. 1:8-10”, fellowship with Him always, and never forsake the assembly of His brethren.  We need to pay our tithes and offerings and donate generously to the work of God.  In doing these, the cankerworms destroying our lives will be dealt with by God. We need to be prayerful and hard working in our business Rom: 12:11.  We need to be hospitable Gen. 18:1-14.  We need to manifest the prophet in us Jer. 1:5.   In terms of health with is part of the success deal by God, His promise is that we prosper in our body, soul and spirit that is, to enjoy excellent health. But we can’t expect these to happen when we are unforgiving, envious of other people’s success, intolerant of one another, always angry,  (Gal. 5:19-21).  We can’t enjoy excellent health when we are ruled by the spirit of gluttony which is the case with many people.
It is therefore imperative that for us to truly enjoy good success in all facets of our lives, we need to be obedient to God’s commandments to be hard working, prayerful, generous to one another and be patiently waiting for God’s appointed time for the blessings to materialise.  But what happens in real life is that we don’t follow these principles and we want God to prosper us even inside of our sins.
Action point:  examine your lifestyle today and see where disobedience to God’s principles for living has been violated and be ready to make amends.

Prayer point:  Lord grant me the grace to be obedient to you in all my ways in Jesus name.
